403(b) Retirement Plan
Copa Health is proud to sponsor a 403(b) retirement savings plan for our employees offered through Principle. For investment recommendations or questions, please contact the financial professionals at Retirement Wealth Partners
Employee Contributions:
You are eligible to participate in the 403(b) plan upon hire. The plan allows you to save for retirement through Traditional (pre-tax) contribution which reduces your current taxable income and grows tax-deferred; or a Roth contribution, which is not tax-deductible but allows you to take tax-free withdrawals at retirement. In calendar year 2026, you are able to contribute up to $24,500. If you are 50 or older, you can contribute an additional $8,500 for a total of $32,500 for 2026.
Employer Contributions:
Employees age 21 and older with 3 months of service are eligible to receive an employer match starting the following quarter. The employer match is discretionary. Copa Health is currently contributing $.50 on $1.00 up to 6% of compensation. Employer contributions are subject to a 3-year graded vesting schedule. Highly compensated employees will receive their matching contribution through the 457(b) plan.
Account Access:
You can access your account online at www.principal.com or by calling them directly at 800-547-7754.
Additional Information:
The plan allows for rollovers from other retirement plans such as 401(k)s, 403(b)s and Traditional IRA accounts. Please contact Retirement Wealth Partners for assistance.
